Beginner Creeking Clinic

with Anne Connolly
Oct. 2nd

Anne will be teaching a beginner creeking clinic for AWC members on the Middle Ocoee on Sunday October 2nd, 2011.  If you are not already an AWC member then join now as spaces will fill up quickly for this clinic.  This is a first come first serve deal so once the maximum number of people (10) is filled the class will close. You can be put on a reserve list should someone cancel.  Please do not register for this class if you are unsure about taking it as this could cause someone else who really wants to take the class to miss out.

It is required that you already run the Ocoee and that you can roll your boat  60 to 75% of the time.   This class will concentrate on the alternative lines on the Ocoee as well as boofing, sneaking, running the stout lines, scouting, ferries, and keeping an eye on your buddies.  We will also do some throw rope practice at Double Trouble.  This class is for beginners who have never creeked as well as intermediates who run rivers like the Tellico.  You will not have to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable and you will learn a lot either way.   If you are an advanced creek boater then please join us and help run sweep and also learn some new lines on the Ocoee.

To sign up:  contact Anne directly at h2anne@yahoo.com    If you want to volunteer or if you want more information,  please contact Anne at the email above.
